Monster Jam

The venue and promoter will continue to work closely with public health to ensure the health and safety of our patrons and staff and that all COVID-19 related rules and protocols are followed.

We will continue to share any updated information that may affect this event.


  • Ticket holders aged 12 and older will be required to show proof of being fully vaccinated (two doses) against the COVID-19 virus before entering the venue. Patrons 11 years of age and under need to be accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult.
  • Patrons with valid medical restrictions and a medical note will be required to take a COVID-19 test from a healthcare provider within 48 hours prior to the event and provide proof of negative result prior to entering the venue.
  • Current methods of acceptable “proof” are 1) a physical copy of Ontario Ministry of Health vaccination receipt indicating the individual has received 2 doses of acceptable vaccines, or 2) an Electronic copy of Ontario Ministry of Health vaccination receipt indicating the individual has received 2 doses of acceptable vaccines. A government-issued photo ID is also required.
  • Face masks will be required as per Step 3 protocols from the Ontario Government except for brief times when eating or drinking.

Monster Jam®!  The most action-packed motorsports experience for families in the world returns to Hamilton for a high-octane weekend at FirstOntario Centre on Saturday, October 2 through Sunday, October 3 at full capacity. Monster Jam®, making its first and only Canadian stop in Hamilton following a pandemic pause features the ultimate mix of high-flying action and four-wheel excitement. Tickets are available on ticketmaster.ca with Monster Jam Preferred Customers are able to purchase advance tickets starting today, August 24, before tickets go on sale to the general public on August 31. As the pandemic recovery progresses, Monster Jam is monitoring changes to government mandates, public health guidelines, and industry standards and is working closely with our venue partners to adjust protocols for the safety and wellness of guests based on provincial and local requirements. The Monster Jam Pit Party will return to Hamilton on Saturday and Sunday mornings. At the Monster Jam Pit Party, you can see the massive trucks up close, watch live pre-race interviews and participate in Q&As with the drivers, get pre-signed autograph cards, take pictures and enjoy other family-friendly fun. Monster Jam has reimagined the live event guest experience and created contactless shopping for fans to order merchandise in advance. Once ordered, guests can pick up their items at a convenient, contactless pickup station during the live event.  Additional information can be found here.


Hamilton fans will witness a fierce battle for the event championship with each skilled Monster Jam athlete tearing up the dirt with gravity-defying feats in 12,000-pound Monster Jam trucks going head-to-head for points in Freestyle, the Skills Challenge and Racing competitions.  Plus, fans can become part of the action by voting for the winner in the Skills Challenge and Freestyle competitions via real-time, in-arena fan voting on their smartphones. 


Monster Jam drivers are trained, world-class male and female athletes who have mastered not only the physical strength and mental stamina needed to compete but the vital dexterity to control 12,000-pound machines capable of doing backflips, vertical two-wheel skills, and racing at speeds up to 70 miles-per-hour to produce jaw-dropping, live motorsports action seen around the world.
