Saturday Night Lax Is Back In The Hammer
Oakville, ON – He’s done it again. Toronto Rock Owner, President and General Manager Jamie Dawick has guaranteed a win in the Rock’s home opener against the Vancouver Warriors on Saturday, December 3 at 5pm ET at FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton, ON. The Rock have also announced their full 2022-23 regular season schedule.
“It’s more fun when you win, and we are guaranteeing that we are going to win,” explained Dawick. “We’re still new in the Hamilton market, and we believe we put on an entertaining, winning product at home. The electricity in Rock City can’t be matched, and we’re confident that win or lose, once you come to a game, you’re going to want to come back. This is an opportunity for people that have never been to a Rock game in Hamilton to come and check us out, with a guarantee attached. If we don’t win, people who bought a regular priced single game ticket through Ticketmaster.ca will be able to come back to another regular season home game for free.”
The Rock hosted Guaranteed Win Night once before, at their home opener in 2015, and delivered on that promise with a 13-11 victory over the Buffalo Bandits.
This year’s Home Opener will be one of two TSN Game of the Week national television broadcasts as part of NLL Faceoff Weekend to begin the league’s 36th season. The full TSN Game of the Week broadcast schedule will be announced in the coming weeks and every NLL game all season long will be available to stream on TSN.ca and the TSN App in Canada and ESPN+ in the United States. Fans can visit nll.com to view the entire 135-game regular season schedule.
Toronto Rock fans will be excited to see that Saturday Night Lax will return to FirstOntario Centre this season with all nine regular season home games played on Saturday nights in the Hammer!
“We polled our fans during the offseason and the overwhelming majority of those surveyed selected Saturday nights as their number one choice for home game dates at FirstOntario Centre,” said Dawick.
