*CANCELLED*

Out of concern for the health and safety of our community, patrons, musicians, volunteers and staff , the board of directors of the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra has cancelled its Mainstage concert Haydn’s London scheduled for March 14 at FirstOntario Concert Hall. ⁣

Ticket holders should check their emails for more details and instructions on how to exchange their tickets online. The HPO team thanks all patrons for their patience and understanding. ⁣

We will be honouring our commitments to pay our musicians and staff who we have contracted for this concert. We continue to support the City of Hamilton’s efforts regarding COVID-19. ⁣

At this time, all future mainstage concerts will continue as scheduled.

Music Director Gemma New leads a leisurely musical stroll through the English countryside. Toronto Symphony Orchestra Principal Oboe Sarah Jeffrey joins the HPO to perform Vaughan Williams’ pastoral Oboe Concerto. The warmth and beauty of the HPO strings are on full display in Elgar’s Serenade, and the orchestra premieres a new work by New Zealand-born Canadian composer Juliet Palmer. Bright and brilliant in character, Haydn’s Symphony No. 104 brings this program to a triumphant close.
